Within the framework of the project, an inauguration ceremony for the expansion of the Museum Basketball of YMCA - and the outdoor courts – which were funded by the Interreg Greece - Bulgaria Program was organized. The Inauguration Ceremony was intended to communicate the Programme, the project, its actions, the new facilities (expansion of Basketball Museum and outdoor courts), but also to raise public awareness about the value of sport as a place cultural heritage, and promote sports. The Organization of the Ceremony was held at the YMCA on 27/10/2019. Sports and cultural organizations of the area were invited. His Excellency the President of the Greek Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos honored the Ceremony with his presence.
